Content Audit Report of Website Novo Nordisk

Project Overview

In this project, Novo Nordisk, a global pharmaceutical manufacturing corporation, was selected for a content audit. The website  novonordisk.com was evaluated to determine its visibility on the web, findability within the website, and its usefulness for users. 

Data was collected from the website using web crawling tool Screaming Frog. Once collected, the data was separated into categories and analyzed.  The analysis was conducted by looking at the results of screaming frog, as well as using tools on neilpatel.com, and Page Speed Insights.  Competitor analysis was also performed, limitations of the study provided, as well as the next steps.  

In completing the content audit, the following recommendations were made:

  • Correct broken links located
  • Update the homepage to present the vision of the company and its branding
  • Correct the loading speed of the website
  • Combine pages to reduce excessive clicks
  • Reorganize information of the website to make information more findable 

 

Skills Gained

The knowledge and skills gained from this project include research, content strategy, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), analysis, ability to interpret data and provide suggestions for improvement. These skills will be instrumental in keeping websites current, removing errors, improving sites, continue to meet current client needs, and attracting new business.
